Away Holiday Campaign
Traveling this year during Covid times didn’t seem like something Away could promote in good conscience, so we devised a strategy to speak to the surreal nature of the world outside. I produced the Away Holiday campaign in 2020 with artist Robert Beatty. The illustrator brought his distinctively surreal style to 15 illustrations and 5 animations for the brand, which hopes to convey the strangeness of 2020. We photographed the product in a separate photo shoot. The campaign depicts people at various stages of a journey, walking through endless airport corridors, waiting at stations, climbing escalators. What used to be normal and now seems an alternate universe.
